What do you need to get a quote started?
Item description, quantity, required delivery date, and delivery address. Attach a specification sheet or solicitation document if you have one — that speeds things up significantly.
Do you accept or-equal substitutions?
Yes. Illinois BOA rules allow or-equal substitutions for items that meet the written specification. All four of our prior awards were fulfilled with spec-verified equivalents, all accepted without issue.
Is there a minimum order size?
No minimum. We quote single line items, single cases, and full facility programs with the same attention. Small orders are welcome.
Delivery & Fulfillment
Can you deliver anywhere in Illinois?
Yes — all 102 counties. We dispatch from Forsyth in central Macon County and route deliveries statewide. Same-week fulfillment is standard on stocked categories.
Do you deliver direct to the facility?
Yes. Every order ships direct to your specified delivery address — dock, kitchen, office, or main entrance. No central warehouse aggregation.
How do I track my order?
Once your order ships we send tracking information directly to your contact email — carrier, tracking number, and estimated delivery date.
Can you handle refrigerated or perishable deliveries?
Yes. Food service orders including proteins, dairy, and produce are routed through temperature-controlled fulfillment channels on regular cycles.

Yes. Illinois Supply & Services is a registered vendor on Illinois BidBuy and is in good standing. We actively respond to solicitations from state agencies statewide.
Can you respond to formal solicitations and RFQs?
Yes. We respond to BidBuy quote requests, informal RFQs, small-purchase requests, and direct solicitations, with all required certifications and documentation.
Do you work with local government?
Yes. We respond to local quote requests and below-threshold small purchases from municipalities, counties, townships, fire districts, libraries, and park districts.

What are your payment terms?
Government purchase orders are typically processed on Net 30 terms. Private business and first-time orders may require prepayment or shorter terms.
Illinois government agencies are generally tax-exempt. Provide a valid CRT-61 certificate at time of order and we will not charge sales tax.
What if an item arrives incorrect or damaged?
Contact us immediately and we will arrange a replacement or credit at no additional cost.

Send us the description or specification and we'll source it. Our sourcing network reaches far beyond our six primary categories.
How do you verify an equivalent meets spec?
We check every equivalent against every written requirement — dimensions, material, certification, compatibility, and function — before submitting.
Do you carry brand-name products?
Yes, when the specification requires a specific brand or when there is no acceptable equivalent, particularly for dietary or medical items.
Can you handle a large multi-line food order?
Yes. Our largest single quotes have exceeded 150 line items across mixed food categories.
